About me

Hi and welcome! Nice to see you here. I'm Chris Huider, a mad scientist type game programmer. Cooking up algorithms, designing code structure and improving existing code is what I do daily. I pride myself on writing clean, readable and reusable code, as well as my debugging and fast learning skills.

My passion

I've always loved stories, whether it be a good book, movie, series or anything alike. I can appreciate good writing, animation or a performance for an actor and when every aspect matches up it creates a great experience, pulling you into the piece of media. When pulled into the story, you get to relate to a character or situation and feel what they feel. Gaming often takes this concept and makes a player not just relate, but actually become the character. Creating such experiences is what drives me to work on games.

Why programming

I chose programming because I always had an affinity for computers. Starting at seven years old on my first laptop until today, computers have played a big part in my life. My love for problem solving and math skills, as well as some influences from friends and relatives made me decide to become a programmer, but I didn't want to be just any programmer. Being a gamer for years and loving creative processes like drawing and writing, made me choose to be a game programmer.
